For the first time in my life
as an adult taking caring of himself
with all my family overboard
In the yonder land of Kimchi Land
I have received health insurance
I’m just going to say right now
that I’m surprised I’ve lasted
for as long as I did
without dying from a cardiac arrest
or getting a case of diabetes
from eating too much Cinnabons.
I guess it’s time to start accepting
that I am no longer invincible.
